Phillies Slugger Ryan Howard signed a deal with Topps, the baseball card manufacturer. “The deal was a 1 year deal, which gained exclusive rights to use his likeness on boxes of cards that will be released next month and to print autographed and game-used cards.”

“There’s a real changing of the guard in baseball with a lot of young players coming into the game, and we feel Ryan Howard is the face of that group,” Topps spokesman Clay Luraschi said Monday. “We wanted to make Ryan Howard our guy.”

We couldn’t agree more with Luraschi. Howard will be a star for years to come, from Rookie of the Year to MVP… there’s only one more thing for this man to accomplish, and that’s a World Series ring.
